I have been seriously blogging for a year now and have done a lot of nice giveaways on my blog but my question is how do other blogger get so many people to enter their giveaways .
I have seen giveaways for a 10.00 gift card or a free coupon and they have 100s if not 1000s of entries yet I am having real problems getting any entries for the giveaways I have now and I got some nice stuff .
I put the links on giveaway blogs, tweet them myself , post them to facebook and my gather page, I google + them and I even pinterested the one for the My memories software all to have 2 people enter . can you give me any suggestions on how I can get more entries because I'm getting discouraged . I just saw a blog giveaway for a product valued at 40.00 and it has 30 thousand entries how does that happen and what the heck am I doing wrong .
I have even added the links to giveaway hops where you add your giveaway and did that for all of these and still not an entry to be gleaned Thanks for you help I can really use it

Maybe you should try to gain more bloggy friends, get more followers and more importantly, engage with them (RSS, Facebook, Twitter and Google+). In that way, when you have sweeps or contests, chances are big that your followers will join. Another thing, try to make your giveaway easy to join at because it is also a great platform for you to build your social profile. Clearly state your instructions and try to put all the necessary social buttons (if you are requiring the to do so) so that all they have to do is click click click! A lot of bloggers are also using Rafflecopter for their giveaways because it's the easiest way to manage the giveaway. Continue posting it in contest submission sites, giveaway hops, and actively sharing it on Facebook, Twitter and Google+. I hope these will help :-)
Permalink Reply by Lori Alcorn on February 8, 2012 at 5:51pm Thanks for answering me , I have been using rafflecopter, I had a skin care giveaway worth 290.00 a month or so ago and got very little entries using rafflecopter, some people were telling me the rafflecopter is just not working for them so I switched back to enter by comment . I have been trying to get followers and most people know that if you follow me or like me on facebook I follow back always . this as been going well on Pinterest and google + but not so good on facebook . I have over 550 twitter but facebook is really slow and I have since been asking for firendship as I go along . I also enter a whole lot of giveaways both to suport my firends and to win stuff this is how I know that some really low value giveaways still seem to generate 1000s of entries .
I do rss feeds and am trying to get more followers by doing blog hops and of course giveaways I even post these giveaways up several times on my gather profile where I also have 350 friends . I try my best to engage with them on facebook and Like many a post nothing seems to be working but Ill keep trying thanks for helping me
Permalink Reply by Cole on February 8, 2012 at 7:59pm you can list your giveaways at sites like these:

I personally do not find linkys to be any help so I never use them. Making twitter or facebook sharing an entry can help spread the word.
I have had some of the same concerns. I see some truly crappy prizes with hundreds of entries. I've been exciting to consistently be getting 80+ entries.
I agree that you need to set your giveaway entry instructions apart from the rest of the post to make it easier to find immediately. Most people are not going to read anything before that. sorry.
You may also want to add a main navigation bar to your site with a link to your giveaway category.
I'd also ditch your Facebook profile badge for a "Like" for your website page on Facebook.
